I was just going to ask the same question about 7 The Hardway. On paper, it's a great lineup, but I've heard some Boals' material before and his voice just doesn't appeal me. But I love McAlpine and Donati

I checked out the samples on myspace a while ago and was not impressed at all. The musicians here are all extremely talented but this stuff just sounds terribly generic given the talent of those involved. One of the worst things to my ears was the vocals on on eof the tracks where Boals sounds like he rappinguke:
Definitely not on my want list.

the joke is that Impulse was a jazz record label in the sixties , and seventies
whether they still exist or not, is beyond me
