Final Product - Guitar lick, how to play it?

Hey. I am attmpting to play this song. Right after the tapping lick, the jeff solo sounds very hard to digit. Is this solo picked or tapped? If it is picked, is this the most comfortable (and correct) pattern?



If this is picked it is fucking insane !. I find this almost impossible to play (for me)

edit: though, if you're talking about bars 101-104, I dunno.

tap it? actually, looking at it, picking it sort of looks possible, although that string skip looks tricky

There's a different lick on the repeat at the end of that tapping bit, which might be the thing that's confusing you. These videos of him playing it from GW might help you:

Uhhh because the question was already answered.

But I'll give some advice for you on this, Prog. I learned that a while ago, and what I did is just slowed it down a whole lot. I know it'll be annoying to play it at 50 BPM, but I looped it and played it for maybe 2 1/2 minutes. Once you know the feel of it just increase the BPM by 10 until you get to the actual speed.
