Finally got my first real piece of recording gear!!! :)

sounds like you got way too much comp going on, the levels are rising and falling, mute the bass and take off any compression and post the clip again.

If you could tame that bottom end it could sound great. At the moment it sounds kinda flubby and loose. Sounds rectifier esque, like my 3 channel rectifier did before i got an o/d pedal.

Alright, here we go:

Had to rerecord it cause I didn't keep the project...

BTW: There was no bass in the first test! ;)

then there's a hell of a lot of low end there, that shouldnt be, filter out everything below 90hz

Edit: just tried this and it's still booming, you need to use less bass when you record, and maybe get an od pedal to tighten it up.

I wish I had a Rectifier but it's only my 1x12 20 Watt Hughes & Kettner Tube Combo! :D

As for the low end: Actually I'm not going to record stuff with that kind of guitar tone at the moment. This was just a short clip to try out a Metal type tone.

I'm shooting more for a Mainstream Rock tone. Here we go:

What do you think about that?
Thanks for your hinds so far!

Still too much low end??

Damn, I have to get some real monitors soon... %)

All I hear is a little fizz but not that bad...

i need some monitors as well, but it still sounds to me like there's a really low mixed bass guitar under that riff.

Thanks man!
Which one do you mean? Test 3?
Unfortunetally I don't have something to make some decent drums in order to test the sound in a mix but if you like feel free to do so - I'm sure that would be a big help! :)
