Finally miced my Peavey Vypyr

Finally decided to throw a mic on this thing to see how it would record. Schecter C-1 Blackjack with Bare Knuckle Miracle Man straight into my 30 watt Vypyr playing a really generic riff just for a tone test. Single-tracked and no post-eq.

Rectifier model. Aphex 770 mic (cheap SM57 rip-off). M-Audio Fast Track Pro. That's it. Just updated the link again. Tried a bit different eq and still fucking with mic placement.

Once I find a mic position and eq that works, I plan on quadtracking with a real riff. Would like a few more opinions, first.

Well not bad, I dont think it would work well in a mix as it has some room-iness going around, but maybe it's worth trying to find out

Updated again...cranked the amp a bit more to try to reduce the room sound.

Edit: Just listened on my monitors, and there definitely is some weird roominess. Sounds like reverb is turned on, but it's not. Weird, as the mic is pretty much touching the grill.
