Finally my ESP Eclipse arrived!!!! (pics)

Well, i just received it today, played it for a couple hours, then shot some pics and now i'm up on forums

I like my ESP Eclipse-I CTM PL BKSS a lot, it sound awesome and looks very sweet and sexy too. I was told at the shop that i should show the guitar for inspection by some guitar tech as it was traveling all around the world from Japan to Europe, it was affected by various temperatures during that time etc, as it could be that neck needs some adjustment, etc...
Well, for now what i see is that 2 lowest strings rattle somewhere near the very last frets (near neck pickup) but probably it needs some playing so frets will get rubbed naturally, but maybe not, i don't have a clue yet. I must say, that i would like to set strings a bit closer to neck, as i'm used to, but they would rattle even more then... Any suggestions?

About the rattle...how high are your strings set? Where did you ordered the guitar? I've had issues with frets getting a little out of the fingerboard due to extreme temperature changes.
Check the truss rod adjustment too.
As the pickups have less magnetic pull than passive ones, it's not something I could mention as a possible thing.

Try to rise the action...when my schecter arrived the action was very loooooow...I had a fridge from 5th to 22th fret

If it's hitting at the 22nd fret but is still high in the center, it sounds like you've got too much backbow in the truss rod.

if you can raise your bridge up just a few MM, it'll solve your fret buzz at the high frets...you can also make your neck straighter to bring everything else closer to the frets as well...its all a balancing act

yep, same here. for riffage its quite nice, but anything else doesn't feel right.
in the shop i was just blown away, but with time i find that my cheap yamaha
strat makes me feel more comfortable. strange. i blame it on the emgs.

I've never seen an ESP Eclipse with that hardware color and knob layout. Is this a custom or is this a commonly available ESP overseas?

Isn't this the same guitar as Dimmu Borgir used on Sorgens Kammer – Del II? Or did that have gold hardware?
