Firefox SCHWULE SCHEISSE!

Lasse, download the extension "SyncPlaces" and then set it up to auto backup to your FTP server and auto download on start.

I use it to sync bookmarks over the 4 OS i have on my laptop, adds maybe 1 second to start and exit times but worth it totally.

Gavin, thanks for the plugin reference.

Torniojaws, do you use Flashblock for that? Flashblock and Adblock are the first two extras I install on all my computers, and I'm very pleased with it.

Technically even NoScript is enough, but Flashblock has more options for selective blocking. I'm still on the fence which one to use, though :lol: Using just NoScript would make more sense, but the lack of options puts me off. Adblock can be used for blocking flash (*.swf, *.flv), but it's not that handy for it as NoScript/Flashblock are (no "play" button to display a flash item). There used to be a bug in Firefox, which didn't allow for NoScript and Flashblock to function together (allowing an item did nothing, or it reset before starting), but that was fixed in 3.something, and naturally works in 3.5+.

Your solution:
Bookmarks -> Organize Bookmarks

Firefox automatically makes backups of bookmarks, has saved me a couple of times.
