First Drover, now Broderick quits Megadeth

While not thrilled with some of the most recent recorded output, I thought the Megadeth lineup with both of those guys was absolutely killer live. Assumption is that with the amount of exposure they've received over the last years, they will have no trouble finding work if they haven't already.

No kidding. He finally gets the best guitarist he's had since Marty and doesn't even know how to convince him to stay. "Musical and artistic differences" sounds like the most euphemistic way of saying "This asshole is impossible to work with."

He needs to hire:

1. The Jarzombek brothers
2. The 2 guys who quit Nevemore
3. Or maybe get Lombardo and a young up and coming axe slinger like Emil Werstler

Translation... Dave is off the rails again and I'd rather make pennies on the dollar than put up with his shit a day longer.

pretty much what I told my wife after the news of Chris hit. why would TWO guys leave within a few hours of each other?????

Maybe Eidolon can be resurrected now. They'll be releasing a new single this December with Nils K Rue once again handling vocals.

Speaking of that news, not sure I agree with Nils calling Ralf the best singer Gamma Ray has had. That'll be interesting though, glad these guys are moving on to stuff they have influence over. At this point lets face it, the only people who control the sound is Mustaine and a little bit Ellefson.

In Gamma Ray yes I absolutely do. Now Primal Fear on the other hand is one thing but I actually prefer the Hansen version of Scheepers-sung songs.

I gotta admit, that while an inferior singer, Hansen's voice might work better with Gamma Ray. But I'll take the original versions with Scheepers over the Hansen ones.

Is Megadeth relevant anymore? Can't remember the last time they put out a decent album. Can't remember the last time I heard them in my house, or at a party...and all of my friends are into the genre.

Thinking that DM could just sink under the surface and nobody would see a ripple...

For what it's worth, Endgame is damn good album. I think that was the Broderick/Drover lineup clicking on all cylinders. I don't think they had a good album after that though. Thirteen is inconsistent and Super Collider is just a mess.
