First time tracking drums, mix sample...

Hey guys, I just got my Saffire Pro, Audix DP7 kit and Rode NT5s and tried tracking some drum stuff this morning. Here's a quick rough mp3 of what I came up with, once I have a track done properly with tight performances and all instruments I'll definitely throw it up for you guys to have a go at... Am I on the right track so far for someone who has never mic'd anything before in his life? Haha...

Are you planning to use the recorded sounds only or are you thinking about blending OR replacing with samples ?

The snare and kick are blended, I have a lot to learn though about compression and EQing and what not... The kick and snare are like 35% sample, I used the Vinnie Paul kick and snare samples.
