First time using SSD.

usually I just use S2.0 avatar but I bought SSD 4 when i heard it came out. left the S2.0 cymbals just out of pure laziness of switching them to SSD. (have'nt even listened to the cymbal samples yet) so heres the clip. opinions?

That sounds pretty good dude. Intro samples are a little loud but that's not why we are here. The whole kit sounds spot on, level wise. Kick and snare sound really good, they fit in the mix really well. Overall a very nice job dude.

sounds real good man. I'm curious which snare and kick samples you use.

kick 10 (i saw this was a common one so i figured i couldnt go wrong with that) and snare 11 and 20. kick and snare are both eq'd but thats it. i took out like 9db around 200hz on the kick and maybe a hi pass too at around 20. snare was just a hi pass between 100 and 150 and a shelf around 5khz to give it a little more air. just 2 or 3 db.

with superior drummer i have 5 plugins at least on each drum, i love that with slate i dont have to tweak very much.

i think is going to be the template for my bands EP. anyone have tips on bass? its my weak spot imo.

Bass is too quiet, all I hear is guitar. Center the bass and turn it up as loud or even louder depending on what you want, than the guitar. When I eq bass I try to just listen to it in the mix, and not eq for it's individual tone.

Actually bass is peaking the same exact as guitar. And it is centered.

tweaked the bass some. mostly just eq. i didnt have a limiter on before so i did that as well. this is the final mix.
