the cymbals are programmed but the kick and snare were completely micd by 57s! haha

That snare sounds pissed off as hell! I really dig it, how many 57s did you put on it? Top/bottom?

well haha
it was one 57 on top and 2 57s as faux overheads
and we did the same to another snare and layered it
one was more of a high cracky metal snare and the other was detuned and wooden boosted a lot of 200 hz

Very nice. There's a lot of mud in the kick sound though, it's not very punchy.

Damn. Think about putting the layered snares up for grabs. I'd be all over that.
