Haven't listened to this in a few years and picked it up this morning to give it a whirl. It was my first Bork album and I still love it. Vortex is magnificent as always. It's a shame he didn't appear on many Bork releases. I know its not one of their more highly rated albums in their discography, but I think its fantastic.

As much as I love Vintersorg, the first two Borksorg/Vinternagar albums have been a bit bland to me. Origin, however, is pretty awesome.

What exactly do these guys sound like? I don't DL and I've never known anyone to actually like these guys. I posted around two years ago on their official forum and asked for a general description and all I got out of like twelve replies from those morons was, "good.":erk:

Somebody will probably put "Viking Metal" but a little more detail would be great.

And a recommended album would be cool too. Thanks!

Sometime Folk-inspired dark psychedelic black metal. Strange production. Inspired Lyrics, Gorgeous vocals. First album to grab would be The Archaic Course (with Simen "ICS Vortex" Hestnæs on vox). Next to grab is The Olden Domain (with Garm on vox). Then Quintessence (again with Simen), then the s/t (Garm). Once you got those, getthe first Vintersorg era album (Empiricism) and then Origin. You can avoid Epic. Nobody likes it. however, I would also suggest dipping into Vintersorg's "solo" band, and Arcturus too.
