Hey guys, I can get one of these for really dirt cheap new! Anyone has is? Are they good? The problem is I have a m-audio Fasttrack Pro (lol), so no ADAT in or anything, would also have to get a new soundcard, but what do you guys think regardless?

best bang for the buck...preamps are way better than the RME preamps IMO..and the A/D Converters (if you get that optional card) are decent as well...

Nah, it can be an analog 8-channel preamp, with balanced outputs (in fact, you have to pay extra for the ADAT card)
hm.. I'm aware of that, but say I plug the octopre onto my fasttrack, the octo's pres aren't going to go in individually right?

yeah those ones are said to be really good and Lasse made some shoot-out a while ago.
the new presonus D8 is also said to be cheap, simple but very effective for the price.
