I haven't listened to too much of it, but i'm way into the lyrical themes that is prevalent within folk metal music, and i was interested in what Ultimate Metal had to recommend, since most other recommendations on here were outstanding.

check out dark tranquillity's skydancer album. it's not considered folk metal but i find it very folk/renaissance/medieval feeling.
