For all JE-1000 seeker

I asked Roope an the musicfair what he has now instead of the JE-1000. He was very drunk, shy and his english is not the best but he said something about a yellow BOSS effect pedal. Well, I bought the BOSS SD-1 Super Overdrive and it is the same. You can regulate "drive" "tone" and "level".
I always thought the JE-1000 has a special sound (not only the distortionboost), but it's just a distortionboost wich can be compensated with any other distortion.

on a side note, isnt there a yellow boss pedal on top of a marshall amp that roope is sitting in front of on the Alexi Laiho passage to the reaper vid?

I don't know on how big stages you play...
Anyway, Alexi and Roopes don't switch the JE or the BOSS pedal on/off, so...
Apart of that the JE-1000 is so hard to get. Tell me a source where you can get one (for me) and you will have a friend.

ive tried using the boss DS1 as a mild boost and it does nothing but make everything sound muddy as shit. cant get anything good out of it while using my 5150

thilo dude, what settings do you use on the SD-1 to do this boost??

Level 12 (a clock)
Tone 1-3
Gain 9-10.30

Just try to get that much dist you need.
