Guitar > Mesa Dual Recto (with 2 power tubes removed for 50 watts) > Marshall 1969 w/Jensen speakers.
2 sm57 + 1 Rode Nt3 > Firepod
Epiphone Rock bass > Firepod
Drums are DSFH except the kick, which is a sample of my Pearl Export 22x18 kick, mic'd with a cheap CAD mic > Firepod. Remo Ambassador batter head and Evans single ply resonant head. Vater wood beater with a regular ol' bed pillow for muffling.

Forgive me the guitar solo, it was off the cuff 1 take for the first part and 2 takes for the second part. i really didn't feel like working out anything fancy, just wanted to spice it up a bit

guitars are L+R, mainly the 57s with the NT3 brought up a little for some bite.

The tubes in the head are tired and one of the 5u4's rattles, I just got a full retube kit from Eurotubes w/GZ34 upgrade, but havent put them in yet.

Not a bad tone at all. As I can see, you've loaded it with EMG's... that's a big help. I only hate the basswood ones with the stock pickups... and bad intonation.

Actually, none of the recent (or any at all, I believe) S series have had basswood bodies.

Good to see someone else takes the middle pup out! I finally put my single coil back in, for looks, but I didn't hoook it up. Man those middle pickups are just useless.

I always caught my pick on it while playing. I've had it for 10yrs now and it sounded better than everything the store had at the time. Excpet for a gibson.

Some people don't belive me when i say the body material makes a huge differance in tone. I had a friend who was a diehard ibanez user, he refused to play any other brand. he looked me like i was retarded when i told him i can hear the differance in tone between my different guitars. This from a guy who always bragged about how crushing his tone was. when he used a GT8 and half stack that he couldn't even turn up because he lived in an apartment. sounded like he was palyinbg thru a mico-stack.
