Framus 2x12

[Catastrophy]

Hi All!

Have anyone experiences with the framus 2x12?? It's for the peavey 6505 http://www.thomann.de/thoiw7_artikel-179559.html
It's not expensive!!

(Other cabinets I consider are an Engl 2x12 V30 cab and a 1936 2x12 Marshall cab.)

That's cheaper than buying 4 V30s to replace the speakers in my cab.

Mind me, I know jackass about speakers except that they are heavy, take up alot of space and that you need them to be cool. Oh and that V30s sounds great. But material? Plywood?

I've bought the Framus 4x12 used and it rocks (focused and tight)... it's a bangh for the buck in germany...


This Harley Benton really loooks like the framus but framus is 17mm plywood harley 16mm

The framus looks really nice, but do you guys know how it is compared to the Marshall 1936 2x12 cab or the Engl 2x12 v30? (I guess the Engl is better build)

The Framus Cabs look bad imo! Though I love mine!
Engl is build much heavier and I guess it's made in germany?
Framus is made in Asia from what I've read (???)....
Engl has much thicker wood...

Framus has thin Plywood (17mm) but I think this adds some "snappieness" and make the sound more focused...

I never A/Bed them.... my bandmate A/Bed all with a JSX in a store and said he likes the
Framus the most.... I compared the Framus to a ENGL Standard (not V30) and liked the Framus more....

and I've just talked about 4x12" ...
