free drum samples and/or other plugs

yeah, i'm thinking of doing a little experiment, to see how good a production i can make with only free software (stretching to using cubase, which came with my soundcard, won't bother getting into a free host for this!)

so i've got most stuff down, but i'm looking for something which can provide at least decent drums, and a decent eq

You can find shitloads of free kick, snare and tom samples on this forum. Check the FAQ for Sneap's drum samples, they're really nice.
