Sorry fo mistitle lol. shoud be FREE ludwig snare "sample" for sneapster, two days ago I rent a studio and record live drum with ludwig acrolite snare and create sample from it. It's already processed by me and blended with some mapex snare room sample. No expensive hardware involve (sorry guys) :D .

If you dig it, please share your mix with this handsome snare lol

Thanks

No problem. There should be more than enough velocity layers and it's pure and untouched. Just playing around with compression, EQ, and transient plugs, we realized how different you could make it sound depending on your needs. Of course, the tone remains constant for the most part.

We have a set of all Pearl snares coming out soon, whenever we can finally finish them. Maple, birch, steel, aluminum, brass - all the different flavors of snares!

Matrix,

Very cool - thanks. Yeah, it's bare bones - just four mics, no EQ or processing. It could definitely use compression to thicken it and bring out body and I think some highs around 10-12k to bring out the snares. Might be a little dull "as is."

Alright, sounds great. If it finds its way in any mixes, post a link!

Habsburgs - Nice. Very nice. Very slamming and heavy! Tight, balanced mix.

So, you have a little Slate snare room in there?

You know, we have to include some separate rooms so you can the same thing exclusively just with the Drum Werks stuff. We sampled a bunch of snares in a great NYC room (which has sadly closed since) and we use these all the time to add air to existing samples. We will get to work on those!

What do you use for the rest of the kit?
