Free VST orchestra plug-in?

Does anyone know any Free VST orchestra plug-in,in order to use it in pro tools 9 on a mac?

For a sampled orchestra to be realistic it has to be commercial, but if you just need it to be like a pad buried deep under guitars, bass and drums, then go to:

I'll second that, it's the best free one, but still far from being great.

what are you guys' favorite orchestral plugin? What do you think of philharmonik? It's really cheap for an orchestral plugin and sounds pretty good form what I've heard.

-Firstly, you can't use a VST in Pro Tools unless you have the wrapper.
- If you want simple pads, Pro Tools comes with a rather large amount of them in the plug-in "Xpand."
From what I know, there are no free sample libraries, only synths.

I would try soundfonts. You can get pretty much anything in good quality for free with soundsfonts.

I used to use the DSK VSTs although I did run into some stability issues.

If you want to make anything that sounds convincing you'll have to pick up something by VSL or East West. IIRC Garritan Personal Orchestra is decent orchestral sample library at a reasonable price.

I guess as far as orchestral libraries go, Miroslav Philarmonik is the cheapest out there?
