Fried Okra

^ actually, I didn't either until I moved to the states... I thought I knew every pepper kind known to men, (Med have them all, or so I thought!)
but discovered those. I think they are Mexican... or hispanic in general which would explain why the rest of the world hasn't gotten them.
They are awesome! not too hot, just 'right' , I think :)

Mexican food is amazing, and you really can't get good Mexican food outside of America... sad but true. (I blame it on Mexicans who do not travel ;) )
Every Mexican "food" I had in Europe or elsewhere sucked.
With that being said, Mexican food doesn't have to be spicy at all. I do not eat 'super hot' stuff either, I like them mild only, never "OMG I AM ON FIRE LETS HAVE ANOTHER BITE"
Poblanos are just the perfect pepper for me! Never too hot :)

Stormo, when will you visit us in the land of "Ameddika" so I can let you drink good beer and "Meci-kan" food? :D

I'm going to let that 'good beer' comment slide, but chances of me coming to America anytime soon are not so high, unfortunately :(

"Cracker Barrel"?

A disgusting place that claims to be a restaurant.
Trust me, you don't wanna know.

Stormo: I can't believe you're not giving me just a tiny-bit of credit when it comes to knowing what god beer is... I am much like you, a snob, take my word for it: America has GREAT micro breweries that will make go "whoa!"
I guarantee it! :)

Everything from Cracker Barrel has a smoked ham flavor, or that was my experience in Maryland anyway. EVERYTHING tasted like smoked ham, when only smoked ham should taste like smoked ham :loco: :ill:

All my friends from California love that place... they come to the east coast on tour or whatnot, and they all want me to take them to that place... I've been there more times than I'd like to admit, and only ate there once.... once was enough. Gross greasy nasty food.

It was so odd because I didn't even have smoked ham! Smoked ham chicken fried steak with smoked ham gravy, plus smoked ham mashed potatoes and smoked ham fried okra. I just kinda wanted to hurl halfway through my meal.

I was picturing a barrel of racist Southern rednecks.

You misunderstand. I definitely believe you when you say there's great beer there, it just sounded like I didn't know what great beer was and that you'd acquaint me with it :)

Everything from Cracker Barrel
*pictures barrel full of rednecks*

*giggles*

While what you say is correct, you made an account just to say this? :guh:
Not specifically.

I'm flattered my post made someone register and start an account! w00t!

...and while I didn't mean anything politically or geographically by my previous statement, often certain countries are being "grouped" into another group much like "europe" as a whole.
Israel, turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Serbia etc.... are not members of the EU per-se, but a "part" of the whole group. They all play in the Euro Cup, sing songs in the Eurovision and play a role in some of the politics.

w00t!
No.
I was talking about Europe, not the European Union. While all the other countries you mentioned (Turkey partially, though) DO belong to Europe; Israel sure does NOT.

Your Eurosong argument is... not even worth answering to.

I'm sure it must feel satisfying to feel the need to correct the only part of the post that didn't really matter. If you don't think the Eurosong argument is worth answering to then you either don't acknowledge politics in general or are simply not from Europe. And as your post was an answer to hers, that you meant Europe is irrelevant, as she clarified what she meant and that she meant more than just continental Europe.

also wtf is okra
