Quality mate! Not alot more i can add to that !

I have always liked this album. For me it was a return to form after the disappointing D&L album. It was back to one of those albums where I liked every single track on the album, there really isn't a weak track on the album in my opinion. The only thing I was disappointed with was that the end bit of 'Watching The Sky' didn't go on for a bit longer. I love that bit!

A very good album! I agree with Paxoman Watching the sky at the end a minute longer should have been better .. The same counts for the eagle has landed..that outro solo should have lasted much longer,.. my less favourite on this album is 'Warrior'.. I always compare this song with "to live by the sword from Lionheart-album" the latter of course of super quality!!:Spin:

I thought warrior was a protest song about the Faulkland Island incident...

although I find that it does apply to the entire hemisphere post 1492...

question of perspective I suppose...

To me its the period in which Germanen-tribes crossed the Canal to invade the island (England, Great britain). I place it in the 5th century.Ironnicly the Saxon tribe ( One of the Germanen-tribes on the main land ) invaded the island Great Britain with the support of the Angelen (another germanen-tribe), so Saxon (as band) attacked their own homeland..Maybe that is why Saxon as band is very huge in Germany, with provinzes like Sachsen-Anhal (Saxon-anhalt), Nieder sachsen (Niedersaxon)? Who maight tell, maybe the laws and the echoe of the past ???? But for the same it can be the Saxons that tell about the time that they were cancered by Karel the Great..So maybe its a saxon-warior that has written an epic and tells us about that time when they were cancered.......who might say...

This album IS HEAVY METAL, I Feckin LOVE IT!!!! Heavy as Feck, great songs and I'll never forget the Crusader tour starting with power & Glory, pure power, amazing. Apart from the Crusader album, the packaging for all the Saxon albums were pretty poor. It is only since Saxon have been with SPV that they started to release some great packaging. Credit where credit is due, hats off to SPV for spending the money on Saxon to give Saxon and their fans what they deserve. :worship:
