From The Start........The Eagle Has..............

It's great, BUT could have been even better, I think the crowd sounds too overproduced and in the background, just listen to If You Want blood by Dc, the crowd are in yer face on that record and thats how it should be on here, and the tracks they missed off!!!!! It was as we all know originally to be released as a double album, I mean no Dallas 1pm :err: And The Bands Played On :erk: Denim & Leather :OMG: still a bloody great live album though, and another thing, not enough packaging for my liking, some notes on the back cover but no inner sleeve notes or even pics of Saxon playing live ect ect, bloody cheap skate record labels, made a mint out of them but when it came to giving it back.....:hotjump: Anway as I said bloody great record, the tunes and the fact it's Saxon outweigh all the bollocks I have said before:rock:

Worth the price just for the crowd participation on Strong Arm of the Law and Wheels of Steel. Brilliant. Would love to know what the full set list was back then. Haven't heard this one in a while though. Still clinging to a German import lp that came along with Accept's Restless and Wild.

Play it Loud

It was cause my dad used to play this album when i was a nipper that i was introduced to Saxon and later became the fan that i am.. To me this album is legendary, very special and sheer Saxon live brilliance. I love this album and everything about it, perfection, simple as!!

It is a great album but I was always a bit disappointed at the production. Would have been nice to have the full version of 'Wheels Of Steel' too, with the full Biff and crowd interaction.

Biff said there is a new live album coming out next year, and I think this one will be blinding. It will be everything the 'The Eagle Has Landed' should have been. Better songs, better production, and better packaging.

The Eagle has landed Part one I love very much. Especially the song: Never Surrender! I still remember Biff on stage singing the lyric: "just people putting me down." Making this hand gesture that stands above my text, but the the opposite (The finger pointing down!)... I like the TEHL part one more than TEHL part two (Also a good one, but. I would have taken other songs, I play volume 1 more than 2, and I look forward to the 2006 live album..)..I dont know how to say.. its just a feeling.. it sounds more authentic, rough, more energy...
