FS section?

I actually like that we have a community where we can sell stuff to each other, but it's sort of annoying that these show up all over the place and no place in particular.

I like the idea as well. My only concern is that in creating an actual "classifieds" section, it might attract a lot of outsiders or casual browsers to try to sell stuff on here, when the whole point originally is to be able to buy and sell amongst the trusted community participants, if that makes sense. I don't mean to say this place is unwelcoming of outsiders, but I just think that a "classifieds" section might get overrun with new unknown people selling things and it would just kind of defeat the purpose.

Do what the jackson forum does. Classifieds can only be listed by members with 100 posts and/or an active contributer to the board.

I.e, just delete threads that don't fit the requirements.

yeah, posting requirements seem to work pretty well in weeding out one-night stand type classified posts.

A sub forum with access privileges should work. 100 posts. That way mods don't have to worry to much about deleting posts as users with out the required posts can't even view it.
