I have for sale a 1963 Gibson mastertone banjo! It was part of my grandfather's extensive collection of instuments (he collected guitars...this was the only banjo in the collection). The guitars are staying in the family (me, my son, etc), but the banjo was never as close to his heart, & he was trying to sell it just before he passed away anyways. I know it is probably a long shot posting it in this forum, but if anyone is interested it is a great find. The mastertone is THE banjo to have. This one includes the OHSC. It is in good shape for its age. It does have some flaws in the clearcoat, but great otherwise. Two tuning pegs were replaced with some aftermarket tuners....it was suppose to be a upgrade, but I think it likely takes away from the value.
