Fuck it, I think I'm just getting a Honda

Southern Sweden also gets that TRAFFIC CHAOS OMG EVERYONE WILL DIE and 22434 car accidents as soon as the ground is white actually, and if you can't handle a sladd or two you shouldn't drive in temperatures below freezing. If you need AWD to be able to do that, then by all means, get it, I'm not trying to kill you.

I more like to have it so the car responds when I'm trying to avoid ALL THE SHITTY DRIVER ON THE ROAD.

So let me summarize the breakdown for you:

Me = good driver (most of the time, lol)
Most everyone else = bad driver

I really like the hood bump on this one. I'm big into hood things though, my favorite part of my car is the birdcatcher up front.

Actually that's the STi, mine isn't quite that big. Whatever. :loco:

in all honesty, coming from huge American rear wheel drive sedans which are shit in snow ... I actually turn OFF DSC-traction control (I swear) when driving the MINI in snow ... the unpredictability of it freaks me out.

I know AWD is different, but I am not sure where the hell are such adverse conditions where it is such a MUST feature.

mark, that mazda speed6 does look hot though ... defientelly better then the weird new styling of the Jetta

Yeah I wouldn't trust those damn traction control things, I pretty much hate my ABS 90% of the time.

My AWD system is purely mechanical, if it was an electronic system I probably wouldn't have bought it.

It's all a moot point. I can't even afford to insure this fucking car.

hahah ... yeah ... Jersey drivers + high performance car = we got a problem :loco:

For starters, I have a STELLAR driving record, even with my last little "accident." My current insurance on the Saab is $1151/year. So for this new Mazda to jump to $2088, well, that ain't happening.

The VW Jetta, as a comparison, is only $1392/year.

edit: also, I called Geico, since you know, they brag they can save you money and all? Yeah, well fuck them. They quoted me $3151 for the Mazda!

i think its the fact that its that "special" edition version ... purposefully geared for "speed" that puts it in that higher risk category.

congrats on the Jetta, lot of car for the money!

I pay a bit over $1,500 a year for insurance. The wagon is cheaper than the sedan, 'kin awesome.

The trick: buy a beater. Put that as your primary vehicle, and your new vehicle as your secondary never-driver. My insurance company (State Farm) tells me to do this to save cash. I really like them.

Engine details don't bore me, my dad was a machinist and mechanic (as was his dad). But the 275 hp with that torque.. shee-it. That thing has to accelerate like a 15 year old virgin boy reaching in for his first pair of boobies.

Dude, I've been driving manual transmissions since I learned to drive in 1988, and I shit you not when I tell you that I was bucking this fucking filly all over the place.

Look out road when I get the hang of it.
