Dudes used to honk at me all the time when I was a skinny teenager. Jackasses.

The 'cool' kids did that here too but it was usually followed by "fucking dickhead!" yelled out the window. Strangely enough now days there is still cool kids out there, even last year I got yelled at when I was walking down the street. "Nice fucking hat!" I got from a couple of young cool kids. Honestly when it's sunny and warn I don't really care what sort of hat I wear but usually it's an Akubra (kind of like the American cowboy hat), however to hear a couple of kids yelling out of a car like that just made me laugh at them.

And now @ 52 the length of my hair is the longest it’s ever been and now I’m an ugly old broad almost witchy!

My covid hair got pretty long, although not the longest it's ever been, but it curls at the bottom now so while it does get long it just looks ratty. It's annoying doing anything under the car, or in the house roof etc and I don't really like it that long any more. But I'm still not easily mistaken for a woman or even witch unless the other person is blind.

I kind of understand it from school kids. It doesn't excuse it or make it better but kids are kids. But in this country you've got to be 18 to drive, that's technically adult hood, and yet some of these people can still drive around the street yelling things out the window of moving cars like it's the funniest thing they've ever done.

Akubra is actually a brand name and they make all sorts of hats. I think the actual name is just a wide brimmed felt hat, but country cattlemen have always worn the Aukbra brand and if asked thats what they call it.
