Do they know anything about those sports events besides hockey? Go eat some pan cakes... They had their fan group in the curling hall for about a week now and still they´re cheering for nothing all the time...weird...

Actually, it's not too bad. It's not to dissimilar to bowling, but it has more excitement since it's head to head, strategic, and nothing's decided until the last stone's thrown.

It is a bit slow, but I'm a lazy bum anyway.

Curling seems to basically be a combination of bocce and shuffleboard. Both of those games (not sports) are well-known as the province of Old Folks, and rightfully so. You can't really watch them with any fascination unless your mental AND physical faculties are operating a bit below par. But if they are, I guess curling's inoffensive enough.

I would be a bit embarassed if any ancient Greeks could see what we had done to their Olympics, though. ("Fucking CURLING?!?!")
