An interesting philosophy. I think using the term Gaia is misleading in that it suggests some measure of sentience (as it comes from the Greek deity that was regarded as the earth personified), but as an organism that reacts to certain inputs, I think it's plausible.

All one can really do is build their edifice of knowledge on whatever fleeting base is available. If Gaia works for some people, no bad will come from it.
