GALLOWS STYLE GUITAR TONE HELP!

i'm really stuck, i'm recording a friends band in a few weeks time who have such influences as gallows and punk bands like that, i was just wondering anyone who uses podfarm if they could tell me a good head to use and good settings? or if anyone knows what gear gallows use? dont just put they hit their instruments with crap tones that sound like its recorded in a garage, i can hear that
