I can try installing Source and seeing what happens but I doubt it will run. I'll see though considering that we don't seem to be playing SC.

So what's up with the gun mod?
My shit runs ok in small levels with really basic textures (Simpsons and Lego). I switched the filtering to bilinear, and that made it run a little better. Every time I'm in close quarters though, the frame rate drops to like 5fps. Pretty gay.

yea his name is silentkill... and yea he's real uptight. yea its just a gungame server. basically you get a better gun every time you kill someone. at level 24 you only get a knife... and when you get the knife kill at 24 you win. that sucks about the fps dropping so low. I'll play 1.6 if you prefer that. just message me on steam when your on. I leave my rig on 24/7, so if you message me and I dont respond its probably cause im sleeping or im just not there.

Doubled my frame rate. It's chilling at around 60 now. Used that config file, turned off everything that isn't necessary, and told CS:S to use directx 7. Looks retarded, but runs good.

yea i just did the same thing on a work computer. it doesnt look too bad. but it defitnly is a shock going from max settings, 4x AA and vsync running at 1920x1200 to all low settings, directx 7, 1024x700whatever, no AA and no vsync.
