Regarding the weather all old time Chicagoans know that we can thank former Mayor Michael Bilandic for having no worries about the city recovering from a massive snow fall. The venue is on State St which which has a police station about 1/2 mile North of the venue thats going to be one of the first streets plowed and will stay that way. Now if your looking to park on the side streets around there that probably not going to happen you better get out there the day before, shovel out a spot and reserve it with a lawn chair.
Snow days are for the weak, as a matter of fact we're going to open our set with When the Snowdevil Sleeps. \m/,
Q you might want to hit the CTA page and see their trip planner, you can do the Blue Line all the way down to Jackson and transfer to the Red Line or just walk out on the street and see if the State St bus will take you there too, Red line would be faster but you'd walk a block and the buss would drop you off at the corner by the venue. Check out the site and see which one works for you.

Just had dinner at the original Lou's in Lincolnwood the other night. Still the best!
You're correct to fear for this gig. The band plays in LA on Tuesday the 1st, which is approximately when the snow's supposed to start. I've seen O'Hare closed for days for far less than what's being called for, so it wouldn't shock me in the least if the Rays couldn't make it in by Thursday night. If they were driving in, I'd be far more confident, but since they're obviously flying, it ain't looking too good.

Lou Malnati's is terrible. Gino's East and The Godfathers ( that place on my block) are two best pizza places in the city.
This snow is now begining to worry me. I will walk there if I have to.

Is there still a place simply called Chicago's Pizza there? I remember ordering a pie from them when I was up there for Dream Theater (at the Vic, two nights) and it was glorious. There were three of us joining forces, we were dismayed at the steep price ($19) for a 'medium' pie...and we were blown away by how thick it was. We didn't come close to finishing it, and we were HUNGRY.

D'Agostino's on Addison and Southport is ace as well.
