Gamma Ray - Chicago 2-3-11

Is there still a place simply called Chicago's Pizza there? I remember ordering a pie from them when I was up there for Dream Theater (at the Vic, two nights) and it was glorious. There were three of us joining forces, we were dismayed at the steep price ($19) for a 'medium' pie...and we were blown away by how thick it was. We didn't come close to finishing it, and we were HUNGRY. :)

Hrmmm...I think that's on Sheffield, right?

my mistake....It is Giordano's that is crap. It is Lou Malnati's that is good. Sorry for the pizza false alarm.

I hope though if Gamma Ray cant make it they at least announce it early enough so I can go back to work and not lose a vacation day. From what it looks like now it is already less than what they were saying so...GAMMA RAY will be here.

Yeah, Giordano's, while decent, is pretty much reserved for dining in an area where there is no Lou's in proximity.

Luckily for me, there is a Lou's in Naperthrill and Elk Grove Village, so I am good!!!!

I am still a bit worried about Thursday, but too soon to know yet.

No. Reggie's and O'hare are still in the 20" range, which has been remarkably consistent for days now. People who think weather forecasts are inaccurate don't know how to read weather forecasts.

so...GAMMA RAY will be here.

"Just heard from a UAL pilot that United will shut down all operations at ORD this afternoon until Wed AM". Not a stake to the heart, but not good either.

On the plus side, both State, Cermak, and Archer, the main streets near Reggie's, are all considered Priority Arterial Streets subject to the Overnight Winter Parking Ban, so they should be cleared pretty well.

I know I'll be keeping an eye on http://twitter.com/mpshows and http://twitter.com/reggieslive, hopefully they stay updated.

phew!!!!!!!! You said KC shuts down....

For a second, I thought you said KFC shuts down.
Now THAT would be tragic!!!

I heard no UNITED flights until Thursday morning.
Not sure if the Rays are drivin or flyin
Not sure which would be worse at this point

Get Palabra over here and he'll teach you guys how to read the weather forecasts, while doing some on-air headbanging-moshing!

Hrmmm...I think that's on Sheffield, right?

How the hell would I know? We ordered and had it delivered. :tickled:

But yeah, their logo DOES look familiar. Not too far from Linkin Park, which is where we were staying for the show. :yow:

Side note: Soldier Field looks.....weird....on MapQuest's satellite view. Dunno what they were building in those satellite photos, but it ain't natural! :)

That is one of the dumbest comments I have read in a long time. You do realize just just because a weather forecast reads/ shows something either on radar or otherwise that does not necessarily result in 100% accuracy on all levels? I think you would know that if you knew about weather forecasts.

And this is one of the point-missingist comments I have read in a long time. You do realize there's a whole plane of variations of accuracy in between "inaccurate" and "100% accurate" right?

They're playing LA tonight, so unless they're totally insane, they're flying. A heavy metal bomber that's never going down, I'm sure.

:( Not looking good for Chi town.......

"Kai, welcome to LA... there is a blizzard in Chicago....."

Kai - "F*ck that noize! Let;s ride the sky bitches....back home" :loco:
