Gate with MIDI side-chain?

Hey guys,

I need a gate which can be keyed using midi signals. I know ReaGate apparently fits the bill, but I can't work out how to use it like that in Cubase.

Since I trigger all my drums to MIDI, this is a much more accurate way to gate the raw sounds than using the signal.

Any suggestions?

You can assign a second pair of inputs to this plugin as a reference from your host, however it doesn't say if it works with midi also.

Cubase MIDI gate.

It comes stock with Cubase but it should do the job just fine - simply add the plug-in to the track you want and use route the midi track so its output is the MIDI gate input.

I know you've reached your answer ermz, But just wanna put out there as an alternative method, if you don't use cubendo.
I Take a copy of the trigger track (which has been triggered via midi and rendered) and send that to the side chain input of the gate. (yes i HAVE watched MILAR )
