Despite having used the Gear For Sale forum to advertise my services in the past, I agree with this. Do it.

There are 25 gear topics on the first page and 5 other topics, of which one is this thread, three are service offers and one is someone who's looking for someone to edit drums. I don't think it's such a big deal, and Andy probably doesn't want to pay extra (sub forums cost more money, right?) for other engineers to advertise their services.

Isn't that a bit rude to claim something cause you think he has enough money.
I'm pretty grateful about how we all can use this forum that is still Andy's.

No need for it, the "Gear for Sale" section is busy enough, without being too busy and isn't flooded with unwanted ads. It's pretty much spot on for what it is
