Well as usual, if they didn't go for it, then fuck 'em! However, in terms of hard Canadians, who better than the WOODS to be chosen for something like this? Canadian, about 'Canadiana', going on seven years strong! + Gene wants a band who'd be good at 'merchandising', and I believe that WoY logo can and will continue to be sold long after I'm dead and buried.

I would predict that they'd pump in money for us to do a really slick and shiny, non-seasonal theme, self titled "WOODS OF YPRES" album w/ very minimalist artwork, hype and promote the heck out of it, then drop us in six months and we'd be back to doing the 'indie' gig, but infinitely more famous in malls across Canada. Along the way we'd get to record in an expensive studio w/ a producer who'd tell us what to do, play a few big stages, maybe a tour on a bus, go to a few parties, talk to a bunch of bullshiters, talk some bullshit, get drunk a few times, eat some fancy sandwiches, do a music video...dream hard, and then truly accept the real world and all of that for what it really is. A ride.
