GENELEC 1029A : Your opinions ?

i have the opportunity to get myself a pair


i've heard them and i think they're amazing but i would like ur opinions too

Ive never used those ones before but Ive liked all the Genelecs Ive used before. Even own a set of 1030am's

Genelecs have too much upper hi freq as for me (used 1030). And they get my ears realy tired after 4-5 hours of work. I prefer Tannoy system, they are more "true" sounding for me.

Tannoys accent the mid-range too much. Might as well buy a pair of Alesis M1 MkII's, same mid-range honk, lot less price.

I've never been a big fan of (T) Annoy's myself.

I have a pair of 1031s and like them a lot. The problem with the smaller ones is that you really don't know what's happening in the low end. Once I move I'll be adding a sub to mine so that I can figure our what's happening down below 40...
