A history lesson might be in order. When the arabs originally emerged under the leadership of Muhammed, they conquered vast areas of land, including the persian empire and all up to Europe, before the german tribes drove them back. The conquered people were not forced to convert to islam, rather enticed to with lower taxes and a special bonus. Islam has been the only religion that has peacefully co-existed with Jews until recently.
