Getting on Street Teams, getting Promos etc

Hey, I was wondering how is is possible to get on bands or labels street teams and getting promo copies of albums for reviewing etc. I would really love to start a radio station this coming semester at college. I was just wondering how people recieve sampler cds, promos stuff like that?

You'll have to be able to prove you're out to do something more than just get free CD's.

Some labels actually promote their street teams on their websites (I'm sure Road Runner does, anyway). But you'll need to be dedicated to it, not just out to get free shit (as npearce stated).

SPV have a street team over at their site http://www.spv.de/eng/event.html but I don't think anyone has ever heard back from them!

But it's as everyone says, prove you're in it to help the bands and not just to help yourself.

Earache/elitist/wickedworld have a street team, there's a page on Earache's site... Century media may well do as well...
