Gevaudan!!! Black Thrash from Ottawa, CANADA!

What is up with Canadian bands using European historical references as band names?

First "Woods of Ypres" from the Belgian town of Ypres.
Then "Gevaudan" from the French region with la bete du Gevaudan and all. ("Le Pacte des Loups" or "Brotherhood of the Wolves" great movie!)
Next thing you know there will be a Canadian black metal band called "Pillars of Bastogne"...

Don't you think that Paul from GEVAUDAN looks like Ville Laihiala, the SENTENCED / POISONBLACK vocalist?

Better late than never-- the Gevaudan album was finally reviewed in the "Unsigned" section of the new BWBK (the one with the Woods article) and a song is now on the Knuckletracks Player at the main site for BWBK, along with new songs by Priest, Opeth, Warrel Dane, Motley Crue, Hail of Bullets.:kickass:
