Ghettho Bass ?!

yes he does, and blackmoon, all you do is use a clean patch on your pod, and set your whammy so it shifts the signal down one octave, and then you have a ghetto bass

Ok, thanks.

I'd compress a lot and low pass it. Try using some low frequency compression, maybe with a plugin such as Waves RBass. Be careful with the playing, you don't want it to sound like a guitar, so no floyd rose or harmonics, lol

artificial harmonics on a bass :loco:

^This^ isn't actually that hard. With a bit of practise you can do two strings at once too :D

I got my bass new for less than you can buy a Whammy secondhand because some gimp had dropped it in the shop and cracked the finish, so no Ghetto bass for me.

dudes - harmonics be them artificial, natural, accidental or fake capo'd (using your first finger as a nut and your others as a moving 3rd to 7th fret) are a piece of piss on bass and sound awesome - I've been rinsing that shit for years - hearing a harmonic on the low B string with vibrato is wicked if nothing more than a trick. Check out Victor Wooten or the late Jaco Pastorius, or alot of Primus, sounds great huge wide sound and not a cheesey squeal like most axes. :-) Moose the resident bully bass player! Get a Warwick and a mesa and your firing like a howitzer.
