'Opus Eponymous' is by far my number 1 album of the year. Think King Diamond meets Angel Witch meets Blue Oyster Cult and triple the Satan talk.

This is the single from the album, "Elizabeth." Name one good metal band who doesn't reference Mrs. Bathory in their music. You can't.

I don't see the appeal, honestly. It is catchy, but I didn't care much for it.

I don't think so. Simply posted it because it's one of their bigger songs.

I prefer "Ritual," "Satan Prayer," and "Death Knell" myself. Every song is wonderful.

Is it a trend nowadays that the albums should sound like they were recorded with 500 UD dollars?? First Atlantean Kodex, and now this?!?! I can imagine it would sound awesome with Nils Rue on vocals and a solid Lofstad guitar crunch and production... but of course, I am biased.

What's wrong with the recording? Sounds fine to me.

Nils is a great vocalist but I can't see him fitting well with this band at all. Tell him to start up a similar band to prove me wrong!

I think that is the problem with people way into prog....they dont get this type of production.

That one wasn't really a debate. Worry not. The only debatable thing is someone's knowledge about certain bands (and in the case, not Brian).

I like it, but some of the main chorus is too repetitive. I do hear the BOC vibe though, and I definitely would have to say that the production works for this.

This doesn't really sound like it would be my thing. I can hear where some of you are getting the BOC comparisons though. When it comes to cheesy, horror metal, I'll just stick with Wolf.
