Oh I know DOOM. I look forward seeing them, knowing how classic they are. Also: Citizens Arrest and Tragedy seem to be a pretty damn big deal in that scene too. I will check them all out.
There are only a small number of bands on the lineup that I don't really care to see. There will be some overlap, and decisions made on how to see everything I want when I'm there.

Rub it in that you've seen Helloween with Kiske. Rub it in that you've seen Maiden more times than I've seen Blackguard. Rub it in that you've probably seen a number of my favorite bands before they did a reunion tour.
And rub it in that you have an older brother that got you into good music sooner than I did having to figure it out for myself.

Dude. Hmm. It's possible, but I don't know. We'll have to see. December was a horrid month for me to get time off last year because our chief meteorologist gets so much time off around the holidays. But this is early December.
Count me as a "definitely want to" because that lineup is fucking sick.
Demigod, Sargeist, Hour of 13, Funebrarum, Evoken, Mortuary Drape, Vesaeleth, PLF, Cianide, Interment, Ignivomous, Mournful Congregation...

I hear you. December's probably the easiest time for me to take time off work since campus is closed for half the month anyway. Majorly bummed that I can't make it to MDF, but with The Fest in October and then RoD in December, can't justify shelling out the $500+ just for two days. Oh well.

come to Chi-town.....we have
in April - Sough Feg and 2 days later Zuul / Superchrist / Hookers
in June we have Alehorn with Zuul / Nachmystym / Orange Goblin / Bible of the Devil / Buried At Sea
and also in june Desaster now with the singer from Sabbat (Jpn). It is only 1 of 2 shows in the states they are doing.
Bunch of fixed-gear cut-off jeans wearing ex-punk kids. Against Me, Lifetime, Hot Water Music, Samiam, Circle Takes the Square, etc.

I was at DRI / Nasty Savage. Also saw DRI / Anacrusis.......
One terrible experience was driving to the Riv to see Overkill / Nuclear Assault to find out the fucker was canceled!!! This was Overkill on the From the Underground and Below tour and Nuclear Assault touring for Survive. I was so pissed..... I still have yet to see either of those two bands live, believe it or not.
