Gigantour '06

Yeah, it should be great. Hopefully they'll announce a show closer to my area. You figure Pittsburgh is a good area for metal fests, eh... Don't really feel like driving all the way to Columbus, OH but I might have to...

I picked up The System Has Failed to be familiar with the most recent stuff...I really like it...just a good metal album. Any comments?

TSHF is actually a very good album, reminds me of some of the older stuff. Kinda shows that Mustaine is a good musician when he wants to be

I got tickets to the Australian Gigantour - sorta like the North American Gigantour's bastard offspring.... Megadeth, Soulfly, Arch enemy and Caliban (more to be anounced apparently) Im flying across the country to see it coz as per usual the is no west coast show. Should be a great trip reguardless :headbang:

I just wish he'd stop trying to actually sing(kinda like James Hetfield does) and go back to the snarl/whine shit he used to do

Well before the album came out I had been fucking hyped coz the only song I heard was Kick The Chair, which is by far the best song off the album. After I gave it a listen, I was slightly disappointed but it grew on me afterwards. I like the first 3 songs very much. And just the fact Vinnie Colaiuta plays drums on it kicks ass. I agree that the album is very good and better than most of the music which is being released lately, but definitely not the best Megadeth album. I might like TWNAH a bit more.

a good album...definitely nowhere near their best...Rust In Peace will always take that place IMO. That album is in a class by itself.

R.I.P. is my fav mostly because the overall guitar tone/production was excellent and good straight forward well written songs, Youthanasia(little less angry) being my tied for second fav with Peace Sells

Peace sells for me, followed closely by Killing is my business, RIP and countdown. Come to think of it every album is awesome in its own right... except risk :puke:
