Gigantour is gayer than a Elton John/Rob Halford/Freddie Mercury A cappella group...

since that acapella group is on wacken or whatever it gives me a reason to say how much wacken is fucking ridiculous this year. they have some badass bands but compared to other years there is so much bullshit. that group + hatebreed and a bunch of other shit bands no one knows are seriously gaying up a show that has the potential to be awesome. i'm going no matter what because of at the gates, carcass, and the potential for other good bands but as of right now they're being really fucking ridiculous putting on bands no one knows that suck and the gay plague known as nightwish.

there are cheap flights all year round.

lat year there were 20,000 people from England at the exit festival here because they said that travel included, it was cheaper to swing than a festival in the UK.

even inflames can't save this tour.

hope dave didn't sign any dotted lines yet. hahaha weak line-up for sure

they need:

megadeth- to not play

nevermore
at the gates reunion
emperor or behemoth
amon amarth
avantasia or edguy

Booking all that on Gigantour would lose them a huge amount of money.

Make no mistake, all the bands you listed are great, but Megadeth touring the U.S. with that line-up would be a financial disaster. Even if they toured as a seperate package, it'd be in small clubs and such.

This'll be the least successful Gigantour for sure, but only because it lacks a big name other than Megadeth. 05 had Dream Theater, 06 had Lamb of God. In Flames isn't really a big name in that regard.

Fresno, CA 2005: Stupidest place to open ever. But fantastic for me, as Nevermore came within DRIVING DISTANCE.

Thats cause last years lineup wasn't as appealing to the 14 - 18 audience.

This year... the buildings will sell out.

All 3 of the bands bolded in my opening post are easily going to help sell out every venue.

Last I heard, Gigantour was already a financial disaster. I remember hearing about them booking large arena's, and not even reaching a third of their capacity.

I remember reading a lot of that too, back in 05. 1/2 of the dates were either poor or piss poor in attendence, and the other half were good to great turn-outs.

Last year should've been good. Megadeth touring with Lamb of God and Opeth brought a lot of people in.

I would really like to hear Elton John, Rob Halford and Freddie Mercury sing a cappella. Especially since it means that Freddie would ahve to come back to life.
Still, a duet between Elton John and Rob Halford would be funto watch, especially if they both wore the stage costumes they used for their 80s shows.
Imagine what they wouldsing about...

apart from nevermore and DEP, and maybe megadeth ,that was a pretty gay line up too

It's hardly worth living is it? I'd go just for Megadeth and In Flames. I had never seen Nevermore until the first Gigantour. That's a reason to go to something like this.
