Haha, this was me reading your post:

"Insomnium....the saviors of melodeath": I've heard this said a thousand times but I'm intrigued, so I consider clicking the link....but then the following catches my eye....

"Wintersun - s/t": :zombie: ...

"Opeth - Ghost Reveries"..... :zombie:

And this was all BEFORE you even got to the In Flames bit. :zombie:

Oh well, I'm not flaming, just observing, but carry on. :)

No I completely understand, but wasn't Opeth under honorable mentions? Also, do check out that Insomnium, it's good stuff.

Unfortunately, what's moving to me is, for the most part, completey boring to everyone else.

I guess you missed my warning, eh?

But you made it sound like you were speaking on behalf of everyone and I felt this underlying desire to challenge you to a duel so I e-slapped you with a whie glove. En garde!

Stormcrowfleet
Los Sounds De Krauts
Masterpiece of Bitterness

you can replace those with anything by Tenhi, and so forth. Actually this list is bullshit because there are many albums that take me places...

hell i dont know

Bathory - Twilight of the Gods
Arcane Sun - s/t
Jesu - Jesu (actually all their stuff)

those are some. lots of individual songs hit me hard too

I picked up an album called Spirit Dreams by Tomas Walker awhile back and it's some of the most amazing music I've ever heard. It's a purely instrumental album of Native American harmonies led by the flute and I listen to it constantly. The album is just a complete range of emotions from joy to hope to desolation to peace. Just makes you think about the way things should have been and makes you respect the fact that at least in one people, humans weren't always complete fuck-ups. Music in harmony with nature.

Melissa = best love song (as in, a song concerning love, not some stupid gay bullshit) EVAR.

Transcends reality, I wish more metal bands were so innovative.

Every so often I'll listen to a favorite album of yore and find something new with it, but with this one nearly EVERY listen makes me discover something new. Amazing.
