For the record... I LOVE the music. The vocals are just too much for me.

I'm going to keep saying it until somebody does it: Listen to Cosmic Genesis!
Not only is the music more balanced, but the vocals are as well. Much less dramatic than on what came before or after and what he did in other bands. It's a really unique record when it comes to Vintersorg and he isn't as overbearing as on the folk stuff and not as theatrical as the later stuff, still retaining a fullness to his voice and it's perhaps his strongest vocal performance. I'm convinced that anyone who likes the music from his early records would dig that on Cosmic Genesis, but would probably stand a much better chance of liking the vocals. The fact that they are in english also makes a noticeable difference. Upload "Astral and Arcane" or something if you get a chance Max, I'm about to head to work and it takes too long on my internet connection anyway.
On another note, I'm listening to a sample from Waterclime now and it OWNS. Another project, another hit, the man's a genius. No way around it. About to order the album.

Yeah I'll upload something from Cosmic Genesis when I'm home later tomorrow night. I suppose that would be the most attractive to a lot of people here. It has an appropriate balance of folk and spacey-prog (not too much of either) type stuff, and the vocals are like the later releases (not the old folk style that's best exhibited on Till Fjalls).
