The Glenn Hughes version of Burn on Burning Japan is awesome. I prefer it to the original. And as for the Whitesnake DVD... woah. Dude. Brilliant.

Re: what Deep Purple songs Glenn might play on an acoustic gig... maybe You Keep on Moving, This Time Around, Mistreated... I think it'd be mostly his own stuff though.

I can't afford to fly down to see him. I'm already broke from my end of year trip to see Maiden in London. Sigh. Maybe one day. I'm sure he'll do a proper tour of Australia soon enough.

Legendary vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes played a sold-out acoustic gig in Sydney, Australia Saturday night (June 17), debuting new live material from his just-released album "Music for the Divine". Also joining him on stage was special guest Jimmy Barnes, who sang with him on "Gettin' Tighter". The show was filmed for both a DVD release as well as a TV broadcast series, "Live at the Basement".
