GMD Poll: Top 10 Metal Albums of 1992

Yes. It's metallic hardcore. Hence the name.

Oh man, im running out of sig space.

I'd love to see that one in your signature. Let it be known that I don't think a shitty ass subgenre of metalcore is metal. Make me proud.

 really? Wow, how disconnected from reality are you bro? Why dont you just go and search for songs from any well established deathcore band, and tell me how in the fuck they are not METAL.

Nice evasion.

Job For a Cockboy are one of the exceptions, they're not exclusively even considered a deathcore band, if anything they're considered a death metal band with deathcore leanings.

I'd rather a different example, as I admitted that there are some exceptions.

I don't agree with that because plenty of bands in that genre have more metal than core these days. I thought only the breakdowns implied a hardcore influence anyway.

What kind of metalcore are we talking about here? Because I've noticed in this forum that people tend to not think of bands like Earth Crisis or Ringworm when metalcore is mentioned.

Can't believe I just had to endure this shit to check if it was metal enough. You don't consider this metal? Plenty of metal riffing outside of those obnoxious breakdowns.

bro he can check out all this shit out for himself. No need to link bands like JFaC, Whitechapel, Sucide Silence, The Acacia Strain, Carnifex, Despised icon. None of those bands are clearly metal.

Well I'm not listening to any more of this shit for a while, so someone who listens to the genre can post examples.

From what I remember when they were all the rage, this EP was considered deathcore, and then on their first album they changed to death metal. I may be wrong, though.

I suppose I don't know what metal sounds like, or what sounds make metal, because none of this sounds metal to me, at least not enough that I would label deathcore a style of metal.

I hear way more metal in early Motley Crue so I guess I'm just retarded.
