I relistened to that SA album. This drumming is insane and this description is really perfect regarding the drum tracks.

OK, I'll bite. How is that a slight against Countdown to Extinction?

If anything, it's a reference towards Megadeth's more commercial sound on CtE and its financial success for the band. It doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad album (and it isn't). He can't "apply the same treatment"because it wouldn't make any fucking sense.
