GMD Poll: Top Ten Albums of 1980

Don't worry TB, I'll post my list eventually. There's a few albums I need to acquaint myself with better before passing judgment.

Since Acca Dacca weren't allowed I also assumed Blue Oyster Cult & Thin Lizzy were also a no-go. TBQH I don't really listen to Heaven & Hell and Give 'em Hell very often at all. I only heard Manilla Road's debut, Invasion, for the first time a few days ago. Thought it was so good it shot up to #3 on my list!

As I predicted, most people's lists look the same more or less. I would say the new wave of metal was still in its infancy at this time. I wonder how much more variation we'd see if we bumped this up a few years

First three Ozzy solo records are better than anything he did with Sabbath.

I feel you can learn a lot about a person simply by asking them if they prefer Ozzy solo or Ozzy Black Sabbath ;-)

None of Ozzy's albums even come close to being better than any of the first six Sabbath albums.

Ozzman didn't specify just the first six. I would say Blizzard of Ozz is easily better than Ozzy's last two albums with Sabbath.
